Notion template · beds, seeds & harvests
A private garden log that lives in your own Notion. Plan your beds and successions, record what you sowed and what you actually picked, and open any bed to see whether frost is coming, how the daylight is moving and how much growing heat the week ahead holds.
Every bed page leads with the next frost in the forecast window, or says plainly that there isn't one. Hard frost, frost and frost risk — and risk starts at 2 °C, because a clear, still night runs colder at ground level than any forecast minimum admits.
Every bed has its own page: what is in it now, what came out of it last year, and what is queued to go in next. Sowings roll forward so the second and third planting don't quietly get missed.
Daylight length for today, whether it is lengthening or shortening and by how many minutes a day, and growing degree days accumulated across the forecast window at base 10 °C — labelled as exactly that, not dressed up as a season total.
Weigh what you pick and log it against the bed and the variety. After two seasons you know which tomato earned its space and which one you grow out of habit.
Every packet with its variety, source, year and days to maturity, and how many of your sowings from it actually came up. Old seed stops being a mystery.
Your garden is yours. Beds, sowings and harvests stay on your device and in your own Notion. The companion site has no accounts and no tracking, and it never stores or logs coordinates.

No. Everything in the template works on Notion's free plan.
No, and that is deliberate. Your first and last frost and your zone depend on your own site and the year — a hollow, a south wall or a few metres of slope can shift them by weeks, and published averages are averages. The bed page gives you the actual forecast for the next several nights, and the template gives you somewhere to record your own dates as you learn them.
That is your garden's answer, not ours. The template holds your own sowing dates, your own frost record and each variety's days to maturity, so after a season or two you are working from what happened in your beds rather than a chart printed for a whole province.
Each day contributes max(0, (daily max + daily min) ÷ 2 − 10 °C), summed across the forecast window. Base 10 °C is the usual base for warm-season crops. It is labelled as the forecast window only — it is not a season total, because a season total needs temperatures that actually happened, and the page only sees a forecast.
Yes. The bed page shows °C and °F, and rain in millimetres and inches, side by side.
Yes. A bed is whatever you say it is: a raised bed, a row, a tunnel, a greenhouse bench or a row of pots. Each one gets its own page and its own history.
From MET Norway's weather model for the garden's coordinates. It covers about the next 9 days. A sheltered bed or a low hollow can run several degrees away from it, which is the whole reason for the frost-risk band.
